God has saved us and called us to a holy life — not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. — 2 Timothy 1:9
Before I go into why I’m starting a blog, let me begin by saying this is not to talk about me. Sure, I’ll share stories, occasional adventures and heart-to-heart conversations in order for you to understand my experiences and share ideas, but my devotionals are to ultimately center around the One who is so trustworthy and powerful that you don’t need to know me in order to follow. I begin Living On Purpose by praying that every word I write and say on this platform comes from the heart of my Savior.
As I continue to follow personal callings I’ve had on my heart for years, I’ve known for a while that I’m called to share more devos, teachings and even songs through a website. So here I am, soft-launching it as I celebrate my birthday this week. This blog will consist of things I began writing years ago (but are just as relevant now) as well as recent words God has laid on my heart.
This is a work in progress, just like all projects we’re called to do here on earth. God has been nudging me to do this for a long time and share my heart more in order to help others, especially women … so I pray and trust He leads me to the right readers and listeners.
I also pray it encourages you to take a journey toward saying “yes” to all He has for you and “no” to distractions, negativity and anything outside of His will. Please stay in touch, and let’s dive deeper into living our lives through purpose and grace.
Additional words for today:
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. — Romans 8:28
The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever — do not abandon the works of Your hands. — Psalm 138:8
